A fine Chinese scholar's agate brusher washer with many of the stems and leaves worked away from the vessel in an open worked manner. A rare 18th/19th Century carved agate snuff bottle with, possibly later, silver and rose quartz stopper. On the stopper is inscribed the Shanghai silversmiths "Wen Yuan" who are recorded as having traded from the Jiaqing (1796-1820) reign through until the Republic period (1912- 1949). Condition - excellent - there is a shallow chip on top, next to the mouth (please view enlargement 11) no further damages and no restoration. 5cm (2inches) high; 4.8cm (1.9 inches) wide.

One of the largest tablet or brick seals, we've ever offered. Bifacial tablet seals can normally be dated to around the 3rd. millenium BC. This is so delicately carved that it could be made somewhat later in the 2nd. mill. BC.

These 18K gold Heart-by-Heart earrings are clip-on earrings with a lacy all-over pattern of carved out hearts. The earrings are hollow. Together they weigh 10.32g. The diameter of each is 15mm. On the hinge is the number 750 and below it GJ. On the heart-shaped cushion that sits against the ear lobe, there are printed 1481 and ASCH. They were designed by Allan Scharff for Georg Jensen. They are in like-new condition though I bought them in 1999.

Late 19c Chinese Blackwood or possibly Zitan wood brush pot in the classic style with smooth sides and a raised ring at mouth and bottom having 3 low standing low profile feet with drain hole in center bottom of pot. Carved from a single piece of wood, it still retains its original plug which is easily removed for drainage. In excellent condition commensurate with age, it measures 4-5/8" high x 4-1/8" diameter.

A pair of rare 19th C Chinese hand carved hardwood, possibly Hong Mu wood, Scholars desk trays in a large lily pad leaf design with flower heads.
