This extremely rare and very early Derby enameled wine taster is of circular shape with gadrooned sides, and has a pierced scroll handle in puce with the exterior handle ends with applied leaves in green. The exterior has puce foliate sprays, and the interior has a circular central panel edged with black and red lines containing an insect.

This rare set of five hand wrought 1930's sterling silver heart shaped buttons were designed & signed by Taxco, Mexico artist William Spratling in the 1930's. Each button measures 3/4" X 3/4". This is an extremely rare and important Imperial Korean 15th/16th century Choson Dynasty iron brown decorated punchong pear-shaped vase. A fine and very rare bat-shaped porcelain censer with what are apparently bat head feet. We believe that there would originally have been a wood cover secured into the two outer holes and that the incense smoke would have escaped through the three central holes.
This item was made in China for the domestic market as a temple or home alter piece in the early 18th Century, probably during the reign of the Kangxi emperor (1662-1722).

Earlier Hirado molded and underglaze plate depicting two Koi-fish. One fish is depicted in fine underglaze cobalt blue. The other in moriage technique (relieved enameling). The rare and very unusual stilt mark on the base makes this plate very interesting. I have personally never seen a base mark like this before. Date: Edo period. Size: 8 5/8 inches wide by 1 ¼ inches high. Condition: Excellent, no chips cracks or repairs.
