High-looping handle wrapped with abstract leaves; scroll terminal inset with Jensen-inspired seed-spilling pod on wire stem. The influence of the master applied to a traditional form. Marked “La Paglia Sterling 208”. Very good condition.

Beautiful Art Nouveau sterling silver and Favrile glass jam pot, ca 1910. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York. Cylindrical with straight sides. Glass greenish-gold with patches of blue and red. Edwardian sterling silver butter dish, ca 1900. Round and deep well. Applied wide and cast rim with open leafing scrollwork and flowers. Liner has ornamental piercing. Fully marked including stamp for Roger Williams, a Providence maker that merged other makers to form the Mt Vernon Company, which in turn was acquired by Gorham in 1913. Also, retailer’s stamp (Foster & Co.) and no. 71S. Very good condition.
