Pair of Japonesque sterling silver open salts. Made by John C. Moore for Tiffany & Co. in New York. Round with open rectangular bracket handles and straight foot. Engraved overlapping seals decorated with modish motifs, including fan, bug, vase, and bamboo. Foot decorated with acid-etched spirals and lunette-form flower heads, and pierced leaves. Union Square mark (1870-5) with pre-1875 pattern no. 3007 and order no. 901. Very good condition.

Federal Classical silver ladle. Made by Gould & Ward in Baltimore, ca 1820. Upturned fiddle terminal engraved with script monogram. Marked “Gould & Ward Baltimore” with “11-12”, which was the Baltimore alloy. Gould & Ward succeeded Gelston & Gould and was in turn succeeded by Gould, Stowell & Ward. A genealogy of Baltimore silver embodied in a useful serving piece. Very good condition with nice patina.

This William Spratling Mexican Silver Bracelet is from his first design period 1931-1946 and consider one of his most iconic designs. It measures 7 1/4" long by 1" wide and weighs 70.6 grams of sterling silver. Hallmarked with the WS mono, Spratling Made in Mexico, and Spratling Silver.
