Large Victorian Classical sterling silver tray. Made by Dominick & Haff in New York in 1890. Rectangular with curved corners. Fluted sides and gadrooned rim. Stylistically restrained with nice heft. Fully marked including dated maker’s stamp, retailer’s stamp (JE Caldwell), and no. 772S. Very good condition.

Pretty Midcentury Modern watering can. Upward tapering bowl with chased bands and applied flowers. Gadrooned shoulder and straight and girdled neck. Rectilinear spout terminating in disc-form spout and capped scroll bracket handle in stained wood. Cover hinged and domed with gadrooned top and finial on waisted support. Perfect for genteel, clean-hands gardening. Marked “Sterling Italy / 925” with maker’s stamp (1944-68) for Franco De Giovanni in Milan. Very good condition.

Art Nouveau glass vase with engraved silver overlay. Made by Alvin Corp. in Providence, ca 1900. Conical mouth and neck, and bellied bowl. Overlay in form of dense leafing scrollwork and flowers; asymmetrical scrolled cartouche engraved with interlaced script monogram. Silver fully marked including maker’s stamp and no. R387. Very good condition.

Chased frames (vacant) entwined with flowers and leafing scrolls Mouth rim has applied leafing scrolls and flowers. Voluptuous form with nice heft. George V sterling silver covered urn. Made by Lionel Alfred Chrichton in London in 1916. Girdled urn with half strapwork on stepped domed foot; leaf-capped s-scroll sides handles. Cover double domed with vasiform finial and radiating strapwork. Strapwork chsed and engraved on stippled ground. A poignant tribute to the lasting popularity of Edwardian Neoclassicism in the dark days of World War I. Fully marked. Very good condition.

Edwardian sterling silver gravy boat. Made by S. Kirk & Son in Baltimore, ca 1940. Ovoid with helmet mouth and raised oval foot; dense floral repousse on stippled ground. Cast leaf-capped and -mounted high-looping handle with low-relief flowers. Fully marked including maker’s stamp (1932-61), no. 278F, and phrase “Hand Decorated”. Very good condition.
