Set of 5 Georgian sterling silver liquor tags, 1806. Made by William Purse in London in 1806. Each: Curved and rectangular with chamfered corners, reeded rim, and loose-mounted chain. Engraved armorial over pierced letters: Claret, hock, madeira, rum, and sherry represented. Marked with George III duty stamp (1786-1821), London date letter, and maker’s stamp “W.P”. Excellent condition.
