Classical coin silver baby cup. Made by John L. Westervelt in New York, ca 1860. Straight and gently tapering sides, capped s-scroll handle, and beaded rims. Two rondels interspersed with fleurs de lys and inset with male and female Renaissance profiles. Large round cartouche with strapwork border (vacant). A beautiful example of the Medallion motif that Westervelt also used on his flatware. Marked “J. L. W.” Very good condition with strong definition.

Modern sterling silver and malachite box. Made by William Seitz in New York, ca 1970. Oval with plain spread foot. Thick and tapering finial on oval ground mounted to flush malachite surround. Silver has dense and irregular striation. Interior gilt-washed with visible hand hammering. Substantial. Fully marked including phrase “Handwrought”. Condition: Nice patina. Malachite has a hairline crack and tiny rim repair.

Corinthian sterling silver ice tongs. Made by Roger Williams in Providence. U-form with pierced jaws. Terminals have fluid shell and leaf ornament. Roger Williams was active in the early 1900s.
