A black-glazed ewer was finely mold with a chicken-head on the spout.
The glaze was in greasy-feel condition when time-enduring crackles were yielded.

A charming porcelain statue was rarely found from an old collection.
In amusing subject of Mother and Child, this statue was put in the famous Chinese antique magazine Art and Collection - May edition, to celebrate the international Mother's Day of May.
It was well preserved without any crack-lines and was free from any restorations.

This is a very fine example of an earlier Hirado wine or another beverage ewer. The photographs show the beautiful detail to the molding and cobalt blue underglaze painting. Based on its overall characterizes I believe this is an earlier example then what is usually offered for sale. I would date it to the late Edo period (1840 to 1860). This is the only ancient Korean mace ever offered for sale. The few existing examples are all in museums in Korea. It is from the Early Joseon Dynasty, 16th Century or earlier. Only Korea has this type of straight mace with a perfectly round head. And the head is made from iron insets just like the scales on Korean royal armor. 22 inches (46 cm) long, 3.5 inches (9 cm) wide.

This freestanding figure of a horse is well cast and anatomically accurate. The head of the animal is tilted slightly to the right and the mane and tail are both well defined. Shown in motion, the two right legs are placed a step in front of the two left legs with the front right leg lifted. Found in the Holy Land. In very good and original condition with natural patina.

A Large and Impressive Hand Painted Dutch Delft Vase. Eight reserves; four large ones of a bird and four lesser ones of a stag. Label on the base says "De Oude Moriaans Hoult (The Old Moors Head) Holland Delft (the mark) 1759". This refers to the potters mark, which was first used in 1759 (the Old Moors Head dates from 1648). Dimensions; 16" high, approximately 4.5 pounds in weight. Normal wear for Delft.
On a cold October day in 1977, an auction of the former estate of Dr. T.D.M. Wilson of Washington, Pennsylvania, took place. The last surviving relative to live in Dr. Wilson's former 1890 mansion had moved to smaller quarters, and many artifacts reflecting the Wilson's family history had to be auctioned off.
Dr. T.D.M. Wilson graduated from Jefferson Medical College in 1875, and the following offered items from this estate auction provide an historical glimpse into his long medical career.
