Edwardian sterling silver porringer. Made by R. Blackinton & Co. in North Attleboro, Mass., ca 1910. Round with solid lozenge-form handle. Acid-etched frames depicting nursery rhymes with both old favorites like Humpty Dumpty and Little Miss Muffet as well as the more recherche Queen of Hearts and I Was a Bachelor. Fully marked including maker’s stamp and no. 8402. Very good condition with strong definition.

American brilliant-cut glass and sterling silver decanter. Made by Gorham in Providence in 1894. Round body with thumb ring handle. Cut ornament in arched frames. Collar silver as is hinged and cork-lined cover with floral repousse. On cover is engraved block monogram and dates “1870 W. G. C. 1895”. Fully marked including no. S1744 and date symbol. Very good condition.

Cover top has engraved diagonal band with chevron in lower-right corner, and tooled ornamental border. Box and cover interior cedar lined. Box underside laminate-lined. Fully marked. George II sterling silver mug. Made by Samuel Welles in London in 1759. Baluster bowl with leaf-capped double-scroll handle. Raised foot with tooled leaf border. Chased and engraved bucolic scene with hounds racing through an orchard. A later Victorian homage to the tranquility of rural life. An even later engraved presentation in the frame formed by the leafing, overhanging trees: “Palm Beach Golf Club / Florida / State Championship / 1916 / First Prize / Runner Up / Won By”. Very good condition with deep patina.
