Victorian Classical sterling silver covered bowl. Made by Grosjean & Woodward for Tiffany & Co. at 550 Broadway, New York. Bellied bowl on domed foot; cover double-domed with bud finial. Chased leafing branch as well leaf-and-dart ornament on spot-hammered ground. Two shaped oval frames (vacant). Beaded rims. Fully marked including maker’s and retailer’s stamps (1854-65), and pattern no. 4966. Very good condition with deep patina.
