19th Century Korean Hat Box made entirely of Exotic Paulownia (Odong-namu) Wood, from the collection of a French diplomat stationed in Korea in the 1950s. Paulownia is very desirable for collectors because of its beautiful wide grain, light weight, and fire and bug-resistant qualities. The paulownia used for this rare hat box is especially fine. 9.5 x 9.5 x 8.5 (height) inches, 24 x 24 x 21.5 cm.
This rare set of five hand wrought 1930's sterling silver heart shaped buttons were designed & signed by Taxco, Mexico artist William Spratling in the 1930's. Each button measures 3/4" X 3/4". All are in beautiful condition & each is signed on the reverse with the early WS hallmark. In our 30+ years of collecting Spratling we have never come across this design.

A 950 silver Komai damascene panels bracelet circa 1900 1920. This scarce bracelet from Japan features eleven 1-1/16" x 3/8" loop-linked panels with inlaid silver and gold on a black matte (actually iron) ground. A Hand Wrought Sterling Silver Desk Set from the well regarded Silversmith, F. Walter Lawrence. The Desk Pad measures about 22" by 15". Silver inkwell box measures about 5 1/2" by 3" by 3 1/4" and weighs over a pound without the glass inkwells. Silver pen tray measures 7 7/8" by 3 1/4". Signed on bottom of pen tray, as shown. Offered is the fabulously RARE NIGGER HAIR Tobacco Tin produced from the late 1870's through the first half of the 1940's.

This extremely exciting and entertaining piece is circa 1970s. The sterling silver piece has 3 parts. They each swivel / move to create other geometrical shapes. A rare finely carved cylindrical bamboo incense box depicting Scholars amongst rocks and pine trees in a mountain landscape. This item was made in China in the late Qing period - the characters carved into the top read "Qing Guangxu Nian Zhi" which translates as "Made in the Guangxu reign Qing dynasty" (1875-1908). Condition - one 2cm age related crack at the top - otherwise excellent with no damages or losses and no repairs or restoration. 22.7cm (8.8inches) high.
