This wonderful album is dated 1994 so its late on in Dayu’s career. There is a total of nine paintings in the album. The inside of the cover boards has gold flecks spattered on them and the color watercolors have gold mixed with them. The handmade paper is very thick and heavy. A Japanese Hirado underglaze blue porcelain Mizusashi (water jar) of "barrel" form with a flat, circular cover bearing a spherical knop. The jar is decorated with two kirin galloping across stylized waves. The mouth and the cover bear bands of formalized, archaistic dragons and dots with the recessed foot surrounded by a band of stylized lotus flowers. Dates Late Meiji Period (1880-1900).
