Bowl has wraparound roiling waves with claw-like spume in relief and a horned and scaley dragon, baring teeth and gripping the sides with talons. Visible hand hammering. Signed on bottom. Large Chinese silver mug, ca 1880. Cylindrical bowl with bellied and beaded dragon-encircled bottom. Pastoral frieze with farmers tilling soil and water buffalo pulling plow. In background buildings and trees. Sweet scenes of country life that contrast with the scary, scaly dragon forming s-scroll handle that grips the bowl with talons. A horned voyeuristic beast that peers over the rim with gaping, fanged jaws. Chinese marks and initials WF for Wing Fat in Canton. Very good condition.

American Edwardian Regency sterling silver centerpiece bowl, ca 1910. Deep and tapering bowl, and turned-down, pierced, and scrolled rim with garlands, leaves, and flower-inset pelta shields. Foot raised with engraved leafing scrolls and flowers. Fully marked including Black, Starr & Frost stamp, phrase “Exclusive Design”, and no. 3559. Very good condition with deep patina.

Applied armorial shield with engraved presentation dated “May 4th 1865”. S-scroll handle in form of scaly dragon with horned head peering over rim. Marked. Very good condition with deep patina.

American sterling silver centerpiece bowl, ca 1870. Bellied with applied cartouche (vacant) and 4 shell-mounted scroll supports. Tapering shoulder engraved with scrolling leaf border. Open scrollwork side handles inset with cast medallion heads. One is a mustachioed man in plumed hat; the other a lady with noble visage. An unusual example of this popular and varied pattern. Turn-of-the-century Art Nouveau 800 silver and malachite centerpiece bowl. Made by Bruckmann & Söhne in Germany. Shallow bowl with curved sides and wavy rim. Sides exterior have cabochon malachite medallions alternating with plain silver ones. Bowl center has open ball-topped baluster. Bowl rests on four tapering columns with round solid base. Chased fluid leafy scrollwork, as well as leaf-and-dart border on base. An exuberant show-stopper. Fully marked. Very good condition.

Beautiful German sterling silver swan bowl with rare glass liner. A nice-sized bird with twisting s-scroll neck, closed bill, and direct expression. Gently protuberant haunches and webbed feet in glide mode. Fine delineation of feathers from scaly neck to downy wing plumes. Liner is frosted with scalloped rim. Silver marked “Sterling 925 Fine / Germany” with stamp for Israel Freeman & Son Ltd in London. Very good condition.

Marked Konoike, a Yokohama maker whose work is in the Victoria & Albert Museum in London. Excellent condition.
