Pair of German Neoclassical silver candlesticks, early 19C. Each: Upward tapering shaft on cylindrical plinth on stepped base. Bellied urn socket is fluted and lobed. Detachable bobech has leaf-and-dart ornament as do flange and foot rim. Same applied to shaft base. Beautiful Grecian restraint with figures of draped bacchantes applied to plinth.
