Antique Chinese or Japanese square ding lidded bronze censer with mythical beast and chilong dragons. Beautiful casted details of Mythical beast standing in a playful manner atop the lid, two pairs of chilong dragons forming the 4 feet of the censer and sprawling across the body of the censer. There are two large handles. All is set or cast together with the square base, the bottom of censer is inscribed in Chinese. Bronze colour is beautiful and shows age.

Antique Chinese bronze foreigner censer with Ming Xuande mark. Two foreigners dressed in sash and loose fitting robes and pants on each side and 'carrying' the rectangular censer above ground. The rectangular censer is connected to the figures near the waists, they are also holding rings that some are connected to the censer, some are close to it. Their faces are casted with smiling expression and with beard and curly hair. Ming Xuande mark to the base of the censer.

This tripod censer is raised on three animal-masked feet that support its large, rounded body. The rim is decorated with a key fret design, and the body has ten lappets composed of stylized mask and key fret designs all in low relief. It retains its original brown patina overall with a deep greenish gray interior from use. Good condition.

An imposing gilt bronze image of the Protector(Vidyaraja) Yamantaka in congress (yabyum) with his female counterpart. Yamantaka is one of the principal protectors of the Gelugpa tradition, which provided the main imperial preceptors for the Qing rulers. A massive bronze (copper tin alloy) vase cast in Han dynasty Hu shape and with Han style Taotie mask handles. The archaistic style decoration is an amalgam of Shang and Zhou dynasty motifs.
