Large Chinese silver mug, ca 1880. Cylindrical bowl with bellied and beaded dragon-encircled bottom. Pastoral frieze with farmers tilling soil and water buffalo pulling plow. In background buildings and trees. Sweet scenes of country life that contrast with the scary, scaly dragon forming s-scroll handle that grips the bowl with talons. A horned voyeuristic beast that peers over the rim with gaping, fanged jaws. Chinese marks and initials WF for Wing Fat in Canton. Very good condition.

Chinese export silver cocktail shaker, ca 1910. Straight and tapering bowl. Detachable top with curved shoulder and straight and inset cylindrical neck with built-in strainer and snug-fitting cap. Allover stippling and plain bands, circle (vacant), and cap top. A great one-handed model for exotic concoctions. Chinese marks and stamp for Hung Chong & Co., a Canton silversmith and retailer. Very good condition. A few minor base dings.

Chinese export silver mug, ca 1850. Straight and upward tapering sides applied with leafing bamboo on stippled ground. Branch-form handle and rims. Applied rondel engraved with single-letter monogram in buckled belt. On underside is engraved “H. J. T. / 1855”. Interior gilt washed. Chinese mark and initials KHC for Khe Cheong, a Canton silversmith and retailer active from ca 1830s-70s. Very good condition.

Chinese export silver bowl, ca 1890. Round with curved sides. Four lobed frames with chased ornament on stippled ground: Blossoming branches, flowers, tail-chasing dragon, and mountain landscape with men standing in foreground on balustraded terrace. Open blossoming branch foot ring. Chinese mark and stamp for Wang Hing, a Canton and Hong Kong silversmith and retailer, who was active in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Chinese silver mug, ca 1865. Straight and upward tapering sides with dense low-relief frieze: Spearmen and swordsmen on foot and horse thrust and lunge and, in some cases, fall in battle. Applied armorial shield with engraved presentation dated “May 4th 1865”. S-scroll handle in form of scaly dragon with horned head peering over rim. Marked. Very good condition with deep patina.

Marble base with guilloche enamel pilasters and applied imbricated gilt filigree leaves, and raised foot with inset cabochon stones on enameled ground. Top has patterned enamel ground and gilt eaves with cabochon amethyst rim, and pendant turquoise. Cover has same with gilt finial on lobed ring surmounting green enamel circles. Colorful and flamboyant exoticism. Marked “Silver”. Very good condition with nice age-related toning.

Textural easy-grip sterling silver cage with dense weave at top and bottom and open lattice in center. Collar sterling silver as is hinged and cork-lined bayonet cover.
