Engraved ornament: On sides, leafing scrollwork, flowers, and eagles, and on cover top round frame (vacant) surrounded by leafing scrollwork. With cobalt glass liner. Fully marked. The other has fluted and irregular petals with collage-style center comprising 2 graduated and scalloped layers. In cloth-bound case with fitted velvet and silk lining silver-stamped “Gianmaria / Buccellati”. Both marked “Gianmaria Buccellati” with post-1967 Italian mark for Bolognese maker Clementi di Giovanni Mantel. Excellent condition.

Cup has acid-etched frieze depicting sailor-suited, flag-holding, all-American boy with exotic coevals in native dress relegated to background. Imagery enhanced with verse: “Little Indian, Sioux or Crow, little frosty Eskimo, little Turk or Japanese—Oh! Don’t you wish that you were me?”
