This bracelet is absolutely Alice Caviness "Eye Candy". I have seen it pictured in a couple of books, but have never seen another one in person. It is a huge gold colored bangle set halway around with round and baguette yelow and gray topaz glass. The top is absolutly a show stopper. The large faceted yellow stone is 1" x 1 1/4" and it is completely surrounded with sparkling round and baguette yellow and gray faceted sparklers, all of which are prong set. This fabulous vintage Mexican Bracelet has a stunning design similar to the work of Antonio Pineda - it's signed with the initials AP but they differ from the more common Pineda hallmark and we're not sure who the artist is. It's a massive piece measuring 7" long, 1" wide and is quite heavy at 115.5 grams. Early style pin closure. No damage noted, just some light wear and tarnish and the Amethyst stones have the typical inclusions. A fantastic bracelet that any collector will love.

This impressive 2 3/4" sterling silver cuff studded with 30 amethyst cabs was hallmarked c. 1940 by Manuel Altamirano, senior silversmith in Hector Aguilar's Taller Borda. Interior length measures 5 1/2" end to end. The gap opening is 1 1/2". Terminals measure 2 3/4" wide, center front is 2 1/2" wide. Weight 79 grams. The bracelet is in beautiful condition.
