Pair of tall Edwardian Classical sterling silver candlesticks. Made by Barbour Silver Co. (part of International) in Hartford, Conn., ca 1910. Each: Ovoid socket with round detachable bobeche on tapering shaft with base knop; raised foot. Engraved borders comprising paterae with pendant flowers and vases joined by garland. Fully marked including maker’s stamp and no. 101C. Very good condition with a few pings.

Cover dimed with ornamental piercing and vasiform finial. Fluting and reeding. Fully marked including maker’s stamp, pattern no. 17816 (first produced in 1910), and director’s letter m. Colonial sterling silver ale pitcher. Made by Old Newbury Crafters in Newburyport, Mass. Curved bowl with reeded staves; c-scroll handle and sharp v-spout. For serving ye olde fermented refreshment. Fully marked including maker’s and craftsman’s (Fletcher S. Carter) stamps as well as phrase “Boston / Museum of Fine Arts / Reproduction”. Very good condition.

Russian 875 silver ladle, ca 1880. Oval bowl and fiddle terminal with engraved initials and year 1881. A nice serving piece from the twilight of tsarist Russia. Marks include maker’s (PA) stamp and Moscow assayer’s (Aleksandr Nicolayevich Krollau) stamp dated 1880. Very good condition with nice patina.

Federal Classical silver ladle. Made by Gould & Ward in Baltimore, ca 1820. Upturned fiddle terminal engraved with script monogram. Marked “Gould & Ward Baltimore” with “11-12”, which was the Baltimore alloy. Gould & Ward succeeded Gelston & Gould and was in turn succeeded by Gould, Stowell & Ward. A genealogy of Baltimore silver embodied in a useful serving piece. Very good condition with nice patina.

Edwardian Art Nouveau sterling silver porringer. Made by William B. Kerr & Co. in Newark, ca 1910. Round with straight sides shaped solid handle. On exterior are acid-etched fairytale scenes depicting beguiling maidens, stooped crones, and credulous children framed by sinister tree trunks. Turreted and domed fantasy building with round frame (vacant). Fully marked including maker’s stamp and no. 4568. Very good condition.

Reagan-era sterling silver mint julep cup. Made by Scearce in Shelbyville, Kentucky. Straight and tapering sides, and beaded and molded rim and foot. Ronald Reagan was president from 1981 to 1989. Marks include maker’s stamp and presidential date code “RWR II”. The Roman numeral stands for the boomtime second term. Very good condition.
