Early vintage handmade sterling silver bracelet designed and signed by Taxco, Mexico artist Hector Aguilar(1905-86). Measures 7 inches long X 1 inch wide. Comprised of 9 repousse wave panels with applied rope trim. Penny Morrills's book SILVER MASTERS OF MEXICO pictures the bracelets' hallmarks - HA STERLING MADE IN MEXICO and states that those marks were used on Aguilar designs from 1940-45. This impressive 2 3/4" sterling silver cuff studded with 30 amethyst cabs was hallmarked c. 1940 by Manuel Altamirano, senior silversmith in Hector Aguilar's Taller Borda. Interior length measures 5 1/2" end to end. The gap opening is 1 1/2". Terminals measure 2 3/4" wide, center front is 2 1/2" wide. Weight 79 grams. The bracelet is in beautiful condition. See p. 198 of Silver Masters of Mexico for more detailed information on Altamirano. Pieces signed Altamirano are scarce.

A great, 950 sterling silver cuff bracelet by Haroldo Burle Marx with a large bezel set 'Forma Livre' opaque black carved stone.

Marked 950 and BURLE MARX on the inside. Measures 6 3/4" around with an opening of 1 1/4". Measures 1" at the widest. Weighs 104 gr.

Fine condition. There are some minor surface scratches to the finish. There is a slight separation at the underside of the bezel but the stone is stable.

This unusual massive cuff bracelet has a large spinach green and yellow striated raised agate. Very three dimensional.
