A Chelsea ecuelle and cover, fulsomely painted with fancy and aquatic birds. Applied flowers and leaves decorate the bases of the twig handles, while the uncommon (but original) knop on the lid is a beautiful flower painted in three colors. The ecuelle's interior features a large convolvulus spray.
The condition of this gem is superb, with bright colors and no missing paint. There is a very small spot of high quality and invisible restoration to the bottom of the knop's stem, where it meets t...
Offered is a wonderful piece of circa 1940's, Lebanon, Tennessee, drug store history!
Researching the drug store's history was fascinating as the same family operated it for over 50 years! The SHANNON family founded and ran this all-inclusive, community-centered, soda fountain and drug store from 1912 until 1964. The years spanning from its 1912 opening through the 1950s appeared to be the drug store's heyday as it served as a popular community gathering place catering to local servicemen and...
A First Period Dr. Wall Worcester teabowl, of octagonal form, with a slightly everted rim, printed in outline and delicately hand coloured with the "Red Bull" pattern, the borders with half flowerheads alternating with green diaper panels. This is the rare early version of this pattern when Worcester first started using printed patterns. The pattern is based on a Chinese famille rose design from the Yongzheng period and appears circa 1754-56.
Condition is excellent, with bright colors, and ...

Offered is a graphically appealing, 1950s, Kodak Film Advertising Display. This beauty comes in the original box and shows very little wear. There is scant patina from minimal use, minor surface scratches and blemishes, and one bend in the metal as seen in the photo. The display turns easily on its circular base, and the colors are as bright as if it was brand new! Definitely a discerning collector's dream!

There is rhodium plated metal brooch with black and red enmael. There is some wear to the enamel of the pelican's bill. All the pave rhinestones appear to be bright.
There is a Hallmark that is barely visible Made in USA and a symbol which I cannot photograph which appears to be a star with circle made of dots (Fred Gray).

My pictures do not do justice to the elaborate, three-dimensional silver work under the translucent, dark, cherry red enamel. There are moths hidden among the flowers and leaves, and there is a depth to the design that you must admire in person to appreciate. As the sunlight skips over the delicate, gleaming petals of the most pronounced flowers, the rest of the intricately wrought design falls in varying degrees into the shadows.
