The petals have been formed from 5 incised citrines in a warm smokey yellow-brown color which surround a cut diamond in the center.
The stem of the flower and the petals' border are all highlighted by inlaid old European and rose-cut diamonds.
The back has been marked with a French guarantee stamp.

A flower wreath is suspended above a man and woman seated at a table with a scribe, quill in hand chronicling the gallantry. A charming ode to the 18th-century fete champetre. Silver-gilt filigree gallery with flower heads and scrolls. Enameled twisted-rod end handles in scrolled mounts. Four gadrooned supports.

Fine Japanese silver and enamel saki pot, ca 1890. Ovoid body on raised and scalloped foot. Bamboo-style vertical spout; capped and high-looping handle same. Front and back have chased irises heightened with enamel in eddying water. Front further embellished with crane and blossoming branch. Cover domed; top double-walled and pierced with chrysanthemum flower heads of which some enameled, and ornamented enamel ball finial. Japanese marks and initials “V.M.” Very good condition.
