A fantastic Clarissa Peters (Mrs. Mose B. Russell) mourning painting of a baby and toddler. Peters chose a simple palette of white and bluish-gray to emphasize the ethereal and ephemeral nature of the painting, reserving the use of colors to the hair, lips, and eyes of the subjects. Known for painting children, Peters' mourning paintings are scarce, and double mourning portraits are exponentially rarer yet.

Wonderful detailed Miniature Portait of a Lady of the Court with fine gown and jewels. It is in original red velvet frame which measures 4.5" tall. Portrait is appx 3.25" tall. Painted on Ivory wafer and signed by artist, this is European in Origin. I just love the fine detail in her garb and elaborate jewelry. Condition is Very Good. You will be pleased, it is hard to let go of this one.

Lavender over amber and colorless cameo vase by DeVez measuring 4 ½ inches tall and 4 ½ inches in diameter. The vase features a mountain, village and lake scene with boat with a top border of flowers and foliage. A differntly shaped vase with the same scene is illustrated in Blount’s “French Cameo Glass” photo 174b on page 107. The cameo signature is illustrated in the same book on page 148 as signature 110. Excellent condition.
Pastel Blue Favrile low compote or candy dish in the rice pattern. The compote is 5 inches in diameter and 3 1/4 inches tall. The rim of the compote has an onion skin border and the foot, which has an opal rim, has a polished pontil mark on which appears the signature “L.C.T. Favrile 5-1776.”
A beautiful Nicoya figure from Costa Rica, ca. 800 – 1200 AD. This lovely Mora Polychrome example is 7” high and depicts a seated female with hands resting on her hips. She is wearing a mesh shirt and matching headdress and is adorned with a painted necklace, large ear ornaments and facial décor. Intact, with vivid paint and good mineral deposits.
A beautiful Gandharan stucco head from the Indus Valley, ca. 4th - 5th Century AD. This superbly detailed sculpture is 2-3/4” high, is masterfully carved from stucco and depicts a young man with beautifully detailed coif. Traces of red pigment typical of the Hadda types are visible in his hair. In exceptional condition. Mounted on stand.
