For sale here is a HUGE vintage 1950s 60s signed original pen and ink and watercolor nature scene of two birds in a wealth of blossoming flowers on a branch from Japan. A lovely naturalistic scene, and no doubt one that represents spring, fertility, and marriage and children. A vintage original from the mid-century in Japan, and beautifully framed and matted and under glass. Ovoid bowl with helmet mouth and raised round foot; cast high-looping fruiting grapevine handle. Foot rim encircled with same.
