Traditional Korean octagonal sewing box sent to a bride-to-be from a groom-to-be, as a light-weight paper-mache gem but with the sense of profound presence in such largeness, shape, and lovely color pattern reminded of ‘Obangsaek’ (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Obangsaek), early-mid 20th century, approx. An unusual late 19th C Chinese teapot of quatrefoil form applied with a bamboo form spout set opposite a bamboo handle. Decorated around the sides in shades of blue and white enamel with flower heads on mint green scrolling foliage, the flattened cover is similarly decorated and surmounted by a leaf form knop. A wonderful item for the collector of Chinese porcelains. Measures: 8" long, 4.25" wide, and 2.5" high.

Circa 1965 red free form metal sculpture on a black wooden base by George Curtis (1923-2010). Curtis developed a unique way of creating freedom as opposed to formal structure sculptures. Using a 5 gallon pail filled with water and potatoes, he would melt scrap aluminum and pour it into the pail. The result was an unvisualized form that humans have never seen before, a representation of the shape of spaces and caverns between objects. Measures 15" high.

Korean Koryo Dynasty Celadon Glazed Stoneware Bowl (AD 918 - 1392)

This stoneware bowl was made during the Koryo Dynasty (AD 918 - 1392). It is glazed all over in quite a thick and finely-crackled celadon glaze. There are "spur" marks within the glaze from firing spacers to the centre of the bowl as well as around the outside of the foot.
