Set of 12 Midcentury Modern sterling silver cocktail cups. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York. Each: Curved conical bowl on tapering columnar stem with incised bands. Foot round and raised with applied cutout snowflake. A snowflake motif but not for snowflakes. These ones are for the grownups. Fully marked including maker’s stamp and postwar pattern no. 23411. One cup has director’s letter M (1947-56) and 11 have director’s letter L (1956-ca 1965). Very good condition.

Scrolled and open turned down rim with applied c-scrolls, leaves, berries, and diaper. A great high-low design with wild fruit wrought in precious metal. Edwardian sterling silver butter dish, ca 1900. Round and deep well. Applied wide and cast rim with open leafing scrollwork and flowers. Liner has ornamental piercing. Fully marked including stamp for Roger Williams, a Providence maker that merged other makers to form the Mt Vernon Company, which in turn was acquired by Gorham in 1913. Also, retailer’s stamp (Foster & Co.) and no. 71S. Very good condition.
