For sale here is a fine collection of 21 vintage 1950s 60s Chinese cloisonné enamel thimbles. Each is unique, none are repeated, all are beautiful and finely hand crafted! Please see my photos for details of the individual thimbles. Most of them are birds, flowers, and butterflies, but there is also a for dog(lion), a cat, a panda bear, an owl, a horse, and a rooster. Most of them are pristine and flawless but a few show very minor signs of wear, and a couple also have some tarnish to the gilt ...
Antique Chinese porcelain cricket cage of a gourd form. Its lid has reticulated air vents, enamel peonies and Chinese characters and gilt edge details. The cage front has enamel scene of a young boy and girl having tea in a field of flowers, with an inscription on the backside. Red four character mark on base.

1960's Chinese green and white jadeite carving of lotus and bamboo on a custom wood stand. A frog is perched on one of the lotus leaves and a bamboo stalk in the background serves to hold calligraphy brushes or fresh flowers. In excellent condition, it measures 7.25" high, on stand 8.75" high, 5.5 across, and about 3.5" deep.

Chinese silver censer, ca 1910. Drum-form agate body set in silver gilt mounts with scrollwork and lunettes. Leaf-capped side bracket handles. Upward tapering support and stepped foot with fretwork brackets. Cover raised with pierced scrollwork borders bud finial with leaf brackets on solid central mount with scrolls and fan. Silver gilt and heightened with blue, green, and red enamel. Marked “Silver”. Very good condition.

Set of 8 American Modern sterling silver matchbox holders, ca 1920. Retailed by Udall & Ballou in New York. Rectangular with open ends; sides have cutout tubes. On each is applied enameled dog. Five breeds represented. On back engraved block presentation: “J.G.R. / FROM / M.A.P.” In original leather-bound case with fitted velvet, silk, and gilt-stamped retailer’s stamp. George III sterling silver sugar basket. Made by Hester Bateman in London in 1784. Ovoid bowl with c-scroll swing handle and raised foot. Pierced colonnade and rinceaux as well as ovals inset with paterae. Engraved garland. Beading. Cobalt glass liner. With tongs: U-form with acorn jaws, bright-cut ornament, and engraved armorial.
