Irish Georgian sterling silver beaker. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York, ca 1915. Gently curved sides and flared rim. Easy-grip proportions for knocking back a yeasty home-brew. Fully marked including maker’s stamp, pattern no. 18863 (first produced in 1915), and director’s letter m as well as phrase “Reproduction / Original by / James Scott / Dublin 1797”. Edwardian sterling silver butter dish, ca 1900. Round and deep well. Applied wide and cast rim with open leafing scrollwork and flowers. Liner has ornamental piercing. Fully marked including stamp for Roger Williams, a Providence maker that merged other makers to form the Mt Vernon Company, which in turn was acquired by Gorham in 1913. Also, retailer’s stamp (Foster & Co.) and no. 71S. Very good condition.
