Set of 8 Cactus sterling silver salt & pepper shakers. Made by Georg Jensen in Copenhagen. Each: Ovoid body on raised round foot. Four shakers have pierced cover with bead finial. The other four have single central spout. The cactus motif is tucked away on the body underside. Functional form and discreet ornament. Fully marked including postwar maker’s stamp and Gundorph Albertus designer’s stamp. Four shakers have no. 629 and 4 have no. 629A. Excellent condition.

Sterling silver ladle in pattern no. 128.  Made by Georg Jensen in Copenhagen.  Bowl is “squashed” ovoid with 2 spouts and is mounted to handle with seeded scrolls.  Handle terminal is leaf-wrapped berry.   Visible hand hammering.  This model is illustrated in Janet Drucker’s Georg Jensen  (1997, p. 285).  Postwar hallmark with pattern number. Nice condition and patina.

Eighteen silver gilt dinner plates. Each: Round well and tapering shoulder with stippled leafing branches. Reeded and scrolled rim with daisies between volute terminals. A sumptuous set in a fresh and pretty pattern. A memorable dinner party guaranteed. Portuguese (1938-84) marks including 916 standard stamp, and Lisbon assay stamp and retailer’s stamp “Mergulhão” for Carlos Alberto Joalheiro, who was active beginning in 1960s. Very good condition.
