LONG HEAD OLD MAN
Very unique votive 'Jurojin' (God of longevity) head sculpture with somehow humorous but such serious face, once dedicated to the temple for the enthronement of Emperor Taisho. Taisho period (1912-1926), Japan.
Originally full-coated in pink paper, but ripped-off in half of it then its inner wooden texture comes out as seen, in such condition as is. Head part is made of woven bamboo. Nails stuck on face are the remains of nailed beard.
A Large and Impressive Hand Painted Dutch Delft Vase. Eight reserves; four large ones of a bird and four lesser ones of a stag. Label on the base says "De Oude Moriaans Hoult (The Old Moors Head) Holland Delft (the mark) 1759". This refers to the potters mark, which was first used in 1759 (the Old Moors Head dates from 1648). Dimensions; 16" high, approximately 4.5 pounds in weight. Normal wear for Delft.
Japanese Cedar, Cyprus wood two(2) section Tansu, Ca. Meiji period 1890's, 42" high, 35 1/2" wide, 16 1/2" deep, 2 graduated size long drawers above 2 long drawers in lower section, total 4 long drawers. Old red lacquer on black iron back plates are still visible. Small hole on the lower left side of bottom frame. The condition is original as found condition.
This old Japanese Noh theater mask has the expressive face of an old man. The mask is carved from paulownia wood and dates to middle Edo period, around 1750. The patina is wonderful.

Extremely rare vintage Halloween wooden ratchet noisemaker decorated with a composition devil head wearing a ruffle of black crepe paper. The wood is stained orange, black and green. Marked "Germany". Circa 1920s. The devil head has a few nicks at high points (horns, ears, nose), otherwise excellent condition. 7" tall.

Antique Japanese bronze incense burner in the charming cast form of a goose, standing on both webbed feet, broad body serving as the incense burning receptacle with long outstretched neck and head raised high with beak open in mid-call, the detailed wings serve as the cover with one aperture of an upturned feather serving as the lid finial. Extremely rare vintage Halloween wooden ratchet noisemaker decorated with a full-bodied witch with composition head and crepe paper clothing. Noisemakers with full-bodied figures are very uncommon. Marked "Germany". Circa 1920. Condition is very good, with the witch having just a little wear to the paint and a small chip on the back of her head. Size: 9-1/2" tall.
A Han Dynasty terra cotta horse head with a very animated expression. There are some traces of red pigmentation on the straps of the horse head.
The horse head has abrasion , wear and tear due to the long period of burial. Otherwise it is in good condition.
