Exquisite Barovier bowl and pestle set profusely filled with an aventurine gold spiral pattern on the interior with an exterior thread of blue/green lattimo. The rim of the bowl has a scissor cut which lends a dramatic modern aesthetic to the form. It is unusual to find these sets together. This one is a beauty! It is 7"x2"h, in excellent condition, unmarked, but clearly Barovier.

This domestic bronze cooking vessel was made during the Western Han Dynasty (206 BC - AD 8) or possibly earlier. It has two handles on opposing sides of the shoulder. Chinese Qing dynasty to Republic period rectangular form hinged camphor wood storage box with dove tail joints, narrow removable inner shelf, round brass lock plate at the center front, and brass side carrying handles. Late 19th to early 20th century. 17 1/4" long x 9 3/8” wide x 8 3/4" high. Very good overall condition with only a few fine cracks from age. Vandermark artglass is contemporary glass made in the style of art nouveau. This piece was made in 1981 in June. It is marked "1981-6", signed by the artist and numbered 0455.
