1930s Chinese jade plaque carved on the front in low relief with the image of Guanyin, the Boddhisattva of compassion and mercy, the one helping all sentient beings. Beautiful true nephrite jade of even celadon color with natural whiter lines, excellent crisp carving of her tranquil face, wonderful matte finish to the surface, very pleasant to hold. Hole at the top provides an opening for hanging if desired. Size 2 5/16 x 1 5/16 x 5/16 inches.
1960's Chinese green and white jadeite carving of lotus and bamboo on a custom wood stand. A frog is perched on one of the lotus leaves and a bamboo stalk in the background serves to hold calligraphy brushes or fresh flowers. In excellent condition, it measures 7.25" high, on stand 8.75" high, 5.5 across, and about 3.5" deep.
