Fine & Rare Chinese Southern Song Dynasty Qingbai Glazed Porcelain Dish (with carved & moulded decoration)

This attractive porcelain dish, or shallow bowl, was made during the Southern Song Dynasty (AD 1127 - 1279). It is coated in a finely-crackled pale greenish translucent qingbai glaze, save for the rim and flat base that remain intentionally unglazed. To the small flat base is a Chinese character in fired-on black pigment that most likely represents a name.

Chinese late Qing dynasty Guangxu period rectangular form porcelain plaque painted in famille rose enamels and gilt highlights with a crane on a pine branch above thick leafy flowers. A poem at the upper left is dated in Chinese cycle years to winter of 1902 and signed Jiang Yongyuan (active circa 1899-1919) at Zhushan, a district of Jingdezhen. KINTA THE GHOST

Vintage Japanese mechanical doll called 'Obake-no-Kinta (Kinta the Ghost)' as a traditional folk toy with long history from the Edo period originated in Kumamoto region, made by the previous predecessor in Showa 30 (1955). H 23 x W 5.5 x D 10 cm (9.05 x 2.16 x 3.93in). When the string is pulled, he rolls his eyeballs and sticks out his tongue. Some tears at hat but in good preservation as is.

REMAINS OF HANIWA

Large remains of the ornament part of ancient Japanese hollow unglazed terracotta figure from the Kofun period (3rd-7th century) so-called ‘Haniwa'. 20 x 14 x 4.5 cm (7.87 x 5.51 x 1.77in).
