Open sides with leafing scrollwork applied at base with leaves forming irregular skirted foot. Cover hinged and solid; top domed and with applied leaf thumb rest and engraved armorial surrounded by leafing scrollwork and flowers. Reeded and leaf-wrapped scroll handle. Detachable cobalt glass liner. Fully marked. Very good condition. Liner has minor rim chip.

Set of 4 George V sterling silver place card holders. Made by Goldsmiths & Silversmiths in London in 1911. Each: Round gilt ring inset with cast animal head. Two holders have fox heads and two have hound heads. Prey and predator have long pointed snouts and red glass bead eyes. In original leather-bound case with silk lining and fitted velvet. Mirror has round scalloped frame and the brush has shaped oval frame. Embossed ornament with chubby, naked cherubs frolicking with a dolphin (mirror) and holding overhead a fruit basket (brush).
