This is a rare and nice Choson period, 15th century Korean underglaze iron-brown decorated punchong glazed flask. It was beautifully and spontaneously painted with floral patterns in iron brown under a punchong glaze. The lower half of the vase was broken but nicely repaired. A very rare black cut to clear Steuben sherbet in the “Poussin” pattern. This Carder era sherbet is signed on the underside of the foot with the Steuben fleur de lys banner mark and is shape 7181. The sherbet is 2 3/4 inches tall and is 4 5/8 inches in diameter at the top. There is no damage.
