1930s Chinese jade carving of a resting dog. Beautiful true nephrite jade of very pale celadon, almost white color, wonderful carving, great face, excellent polished finish to the surface, very pleasant to hold. An opening between its front paws can be used for hanging. Length 2 3/8 inches.

Chinese silver gilt filigree box with enamel and carved jade, ca 1910. Rectangular with curved corners and hinged cover with scrolled tab. Enamel scrolls and flowers in shades of blue, green, pink, and white applied to mesh ground. Cover has cabled oval inset with carved jade. Gilt interior. Beautiful color and age-related toning. Edwardian sterling silver baby porringer on plate. Made by Kerr in Newark, ca 1915. Porringer has gently upward tapering sides and solid shaped handle. Plate has deep plain well. Acid-etched menagerie with lions and tigers and bears as well as domestic critters like cats and dogs. Porringer has vacant circular frame for engraving the initials of the sweetest beast of all.
