Three vices – but smoking is not among them. Marks include maker’s stamp (Louis Kuppenheim) and no. 130. Very good condition with intact color.

Fine Japanese silver and enamel saki pot, ca 1890. Ovoid body on raised and scalloped foot. Bamboo-style vertical spout; capped and high-looping handle same. Front and back have chased irises heightened with enamel in eddying water. Front further embellished with crane and blossoming branch. Cover domed; top double-walled and pierced with chrysanthemum flower heads of which some enameled, and ornamented enamel ball finial. Japanese marks and initials “V.M.” Very good condition.

Pair of European sterling silver figural spice boxes, ca 1920. Game birds standing on stiff legs with splayed talons. Erect heads, pointed beaks, and stupid but observant brown glass eyes. Wings tucked close to body. One has long pointed tail. The other has wide and raised tail. Heads detachable and pierced.

Both marked “Sterling”. Good condition. One has horizontal tail crease.

This set comprises 4 pieces: Hand mirror, hairbrush, clothes brush, and button hook. Mirror and hairbrush have armorial backs and tapering and fluted silver handles with vasiform finials. Button hook handle tapering. Clothes brush tubular. Enamel has wavy and radiating pattern with leafing scroll borders and pendant garlands.
