Although not marked, this art glass piece bears the styling and quality of Victorian pieces made by the Stevens and Williams Ltd of England and in the 1870s under the direction of John Northwood (son Harry Northwood was a glass maker in America). The body is an oval pill-shaped translucent light turquoise glass with an open oval top that is bordered with a scalloped ribbon crest. At each narrow end is a small applique of amber glass. I havenever seen another necklace even close to this one in style. The seller thought it was amber, but I think it is copal - a much newer amber that mainly comes from Africa. It is 24" long and the large pendant is 1 1/2" in diameter and 1/2" thick. Mounted on top of this pendant is a beautifully carved Buddha - very detailed. Ca 1930 A silver gilt set by German designer, Theodor Fahrner with twisted wire, granulation and small marcasites. Superb detail. A pair of large droplet shaped pendant lamps in cool green and blue murrines that resemble cells. Most likely an Ermanno Toso design from around 1960. The murrines are floating in a clear glass matrix on which they were gathered, heated, then blown. This style glass is also often called, Nerox, which is a version in a black glass matrix.

Hanging scroll. A dragon shoots upwards through the clouds. Its head clearly visible, pointing straight up, the tail faintly disappearing in the darkness of the sky. Black ink on silk. Zushi in the shape of a Shinto shrine housing a carving of a curled up snake, it’s tongue stuck out. Glass pane behind the double doors, so that the snake is sort of enshrined. Left door inscribed with dedication by the donor. Inside, behind the snake, inscription in black ink, referring to Fudo Myoo, one of the guardians fighting ignorance, and the Deva Marishiten, representing light and sun.

Very rare cast bronze sculpture of the Chinese monk Xuanzang with a pile of Buddhist scriptures rolled up and stacked in the pack on his back and a lotus leaf over his head from which dangles an incense burner, as he returns to China from India.
In his hands he was holding a scroll and a fly whisk that are now missing. Figure stands on an irregularly shaped base. Japan, mid Edo period, 18th century.
