Authentic Antique, 17th century, Ukrainian, Zaporozhian Cossack belt hook, for the sword suspension, beautifully hand made of wrought iron with fine details.
This type of the Zaporozhian Cossack sword hooks is well documented, some of them were excavated on the Beresteczko battlefield where the great battle took place between the Ukrainian Cossack, led by Bohdan Khmelnytsky, aided by Crimean Tatars and Polish army under the command of King John II Casimir Vasa.
