A very fine quality antique 19th century Islamic Indo Persian, lacquered Papier Mache bowl of lobed circular form, with scalloped rim on a raised circular foot, molded with 26 lobed petals superbly hand painted in gold, and various pigments with flower sprays and foliage and teardrop-shaped Paisley motifs. lower rounded body finely hand painted with floral sprays and perching birds (gul-o bulbul -roses and nightingales). Interior fitted with brass lining rounded.
