Very Rare, authentic antique medieval Islamic, ceramic bowl, Egypt or Syria Mamluk period: 13th-14th century A.D. (7th century AH - 8th century AH). Tall bowl of deep form resting on a disc-shaped, short foot, with a gorgeous turquoise - green glaze. The rim incised with a serrated pattern.
These types of the Turquoise glazed Mamluk ceramic were inspired by the Medieval Persian Kashan turquoise glazed pottery.
CONDITION: Repaired clean breaks.
MEASUREMENTS: Diameter: 13 cm (5.12 inches). Height: 10 cm (3.94 inches).
