An early 20th century souvenir photo album entitled "The Ceremonies of a Japanese Marriage". with green woven silk boards and nineteen hand coloured photographs with explanatory text.

On the final page "Published by Tamamura, Photographer, Kobe, Japan" and in Japanese,"published in the 38th year of Meiji (1905). . . written by Teijiro Takagi"

Condition: very good - there is substantial wear to the silk covered boards ; but internally excellent with no damages or losses; no foxing, staining or aging and the tissue guards are all present. 2

第一版，线装，绿色丝绸封面，里面的照片经过手工上色并配有解释说明。最后一页上面印有“日本神户玉村写真馆出版”“著作兼发行者 高木庭次郎”，印刷发行年份为明治三十八年（约1905年），应为高木庭次郎所作。

品相：很好，封皮有许多磨损，背面封皮有裂。但是内部完好（无损伤，无缺失），无折页，无污渍或老化，所有照片护纸也都完好。

A rare, attractively enamelled, figure of the Bodhisattva and Japanese "Goddess of Mercy", Kannon.. Unusually, she is seated on a large boulder inhabited by a writhing white glazed dragon. This item was made in Japan in the Meiji period, during the 19th or early 20th Century Condition: two very minor losses - a chip to one of the dragon's horns and a small chip to the bottom of the dragon's tail. 24 cm / 9.5 inches high. A rare pair of heavy (solid) underglaze cobalt blue decorated porcelain Shishi Lions (koma inu 狛犬) made in the Hirado kilns, Mikawachi, Japan during the later years of the Edo period. Although previously thought to have been made late in the Meiji period (1868-1911) recent scholarship, by (among others) the late David Hyatt-King, is now indicating that these koma inu were made much earlier, circa 1820-1850.

Condition: the openwork brocade ball under the paws of the female (with closed mouth) has been broken off and re-joined with an old (glue-less) lead strap work repair and there are small pieces missing from the back of the ball. Both lions have firing cracks to the base. No additional damages and there has been no restoration. 15 cm (6 inches) long; 10 cm (4 inches) high.

日本平户烧狮子一对 江户晚期 1820-1850

一对厚重的钴蓝青花瓷狮子（狛犬），作于江户晚期的日本三川内的平户窑。虽然之前一直认为输出作于明治晚期，但是著名已故日本瓷器收藏家David Hyatt-King及其他研究者的近期研究表明，这些狛犬像应作于更早期，约1820-1850年间。

品相：雌狮（未张口）爪下镂空的绣球部分有部分脱落，并被用铅丝重新连接固定，绣球背面也有部分缺失。

An Arita porcelain deep dish painted in shades of underglaze blue with fishermen in a boat in a river landscape. This item was made in Japan, during the Edo period, in the second half of the 18th Century. A finely embroidered silk River or Lakeside Landscape made in Japan for export during the late 19th or early 20th Century. This item was framed in the UK by Boots the Chemist's, circa 1910 - 1925 Condition: excellent. Frame: 37cm (14.5 inches) wide;29.3cm (11.5 inches) high.

A bronze vase finely cast in archaic Chinese style with twin elephant head handles and very unusually decorated with 16th Century Turkish Iznik/ Kutahya style 'Saza' leaves in red, blue, green and black enamels. The Made in Japan mark to the base indicates that this item was made in Japan (for export) post 1890. An elaborately inlaid three drawer marquetry cabinet, unusually, with tambour doors. This item was made in Japan, for export, during the late 19th or early 20th century. In very good used condition; there is one small piece of veneer missing from the top back corner of the right side; no further losses, no restoration and no alterations. 23 cm (9 inches) high; 24.5 cm (9.5 inches) high.

A finely painted water colour , with gold leaf overlay, depicting a scene from the 11th Century classic "The Tale of Genji" written by noblewoman and lady-in-waiting Murasaki Shikibu. This item was made in Japan in the 19th Century during either the late Edo or the Meiji period (1868-1911). Condition: there is very minor "foxing" to the paper which probably predates the framing of this picture during the 1920s or 1930s. Frame: 32.5cm (12.75 inches) wide; 29cm (11.4 inches) high. Painting: 23.5cm (9.25 inches) wide; 20cm (7.9 inches) high.

A very finely carved ivory okimono of a fisherman wearing a grass apron and carrying a basket containing a fish. Additionally (within the basket) is a small bound bundle of reeds or sticks. There is a small peg protruding from his right forearm (please view enlargement #12) indicating that something (possibly the bundle) might have been attached to it. Carved on the base is an insect and the artist's signature， "Seimei". This item was made in Japan during the Meiji period (1868-1911). A large, and heavy, Stick Stand, ( for holding walking sticks and umbrellas), profusely decorated, in Satsuma style, with a panapoly of historical scenes enclosed within elaborately enamelled textile (?) patterns and surmounted by a large coiled dragon amongst stylized clouds. This item was made in Japan for export to Europe or America during the late 19th or early 20th Century. Condition: there are chips to the rim, some cracks around the base and losses to the head and claws of the dragon. 39cm (15.3 inches) high Weight: approx 9 kg (19lb 12oz).

A turquoise biscuit-glazed stoneware, or possibly porcelain, Okinomo of a tiger made in Japan in the late Edo period (1600-1868). .
