A very finely decorated "Cairo ware" silver overlay circular copper box with central Ottoman style arabic inscription. This item was made in Egypt circa 1880 - 1920. Condition - minor bumping to the undecorated area of the base - otherwise excellent.

A finely cast pair of bronze vases made in Japan, probably for export, during the Meiji period (1868-1911). Condition - excellent - no damages and no repairs. 24cm (9.5inches) high. Weight- 1.4kg (3lb1oz) each

一对铸造精美的日产铜瓶，估为明治时期的外销品。

A very finely potted and finely painted blue and white vase depicting three five-clawed dragons, amongst cloud scrolls, in pursuit of flaming pearls and above stylized breaking waves. The base carries the six character seal mark of the Qianlong emperor (1736-1795) but, after three years deliberation, we have come to the conclusion that this item was probably made later, circa 1880-1920, during the late Qing or early Republic periods. Provenance - purchased by ourselves in January 2009 as part of the estate of a family with banking connections who were in Shanghai in the 1920s and 1930s. Condition - the base is drilled through the reign mark - otherwise excellent condition with no further damage and no restoration. Please note: when we acquired this vase it was enclosed within a 1920s or 1930s electric light fitting which was removed by ourselves with great difficulty (please view enlargements). 33.5cm (13.25 inches) high. Weight - 1.125kg (2lb 7.75oz).

精致的乾隆款青花云龙纹观音瓶 或应稍晚
一件精致的乾隆款青花云龙纹观音瓶。底有“大清乾隆年制”六字篆书款，但估为后世1880-1920年间清末民初时期所做。
来源：2009年1月，我们从一个英国家族手中购得一些旧藏，此为其中一件。此家族上世纪二三十年代曾在上海从事银行业。
品相：底部款识部分有钻孔，除此之外品相完好，无损伤，无修复。
请注意：我们拿到这件瓷瓶时，瓶身附有一个二三十年代的台灯配件，经多次尝试终于将其取出（见图）。如有需要，可提供更多照片。高33.5厘米。重1.125公斤。

A Chinese Porcelain Jar and Cover profusely decorated with "Famille Rose" (Falangxi) enamels. This item was made in China in the late 19th or early 20th Century, circa 1880-1920, during either the late Qing or the early Republic periods. Condition: excellent - no damages and no restoration. 15cm (6 inches) high.

A large porcelain jar with original cover (and fitted wood stand) painted in Kangxi style in underglaze blue with flowering "prunus" branches. This item was made for export in the late 19th or early 20th Century, probably during the reign of the Guangxu emperor (1875-1908). Condition - excellent - no damages and no repairs or restoration. 26.5cm (10.4 inches) high; 35.5cm (14 inches) high with stand.

A Cloisonne Enamel vase depicting two Manchurian Cranes, made in Japan for export during the Meiji period (1868-1911). Condition - there is an under rim chip and one to the body (please view enlargements 8 & 9); there are very minor losses to the enamel and there are stress cracks. There have been no repairs or restoration. 18cm (7inches) high.

一件日本明治时期的七宝焼仙鹤延年瓶。

An attractively enamelled Kutani porcelain figure of a Geisha made in Japan for export circa 1890-1910. Condition: Good - there are, easily restored, minor losses to the black enamels; no chips or cracks and no repairs or restoration. 29.5cm (11.6inches) high.

A hammered copper Arts and Crafts style plaque decorated with three stylized marine fish amongst bubbles and seaweed. This item will have been made in the British Isles circa 1890-1910. We have been unable to attribute it to a particular school or workshop. Condition: very good, with no damages or repairs. 30cm (12 inches) diameter

A small thinly potted wine or tea cup delicately painted in shades of underglaze blue with traditional Chinese landscape scenes. The cup is bound with a metal (copper) rim, apparently made to cover a burst glaze bubble. On the base is a four character shop mark which reads "Shun Li Kun Ji". The makers mark was in use during the late Qing / early Republic period so we assume that this item was made during the late 19th or early 20th Century. Condition - very good - no damages and no restoration. 5cm (2inches) high; 6.5cm (2.5inches) diameter.

一件清华庭院人物酒杯，胎体轻薄。口沿有一圈金属圈镶边，应是为遮掩口沿的一处爆釉。底有青花四字款“顺利坤记”，此款为清末民初的厂店款，所以我们认为此件应为19世纪末20世纪初所做。
品相：很好。无损伤，无修复。高5厘米，直径6.5厘米。

A large and heavy porcelain vase with thick Sang-de-boeuf ('Ox-blood') glaze. On the base is incised the six character reign mark of the Guangxu emperor (1875-1908). We have been unable to decide whether this item was made during his reign (in the late Qing dynasty) or later during the Republic period (1912-1949. Condition: excellent - no damages and no restoration. 44cm (17.3inches) high; weight 5kg (11 lbs).

一件厚重的红釉大瓶。底部刻有“大清光绪年制”六字款。我们未能确认此件做于清光绪还是民国时期。

A finely moulded biscuit glazed Wang Binrong style porcelain vase decorated with the eight buddhist emblems and two Qianlong style dragons. The base has a moulded CHINA mark indicating that this item was made post 1891 for export during either the late Guangxu or early Republic period (circa 1895-1920). Condition - excellent - no damages and no restoration. 21cm (8.25 inches) high.

清末民初 黄地素三彩堆贴海水龙纹六方瓶 1895-1920年间
一件压模堆贴王炳荣风格的素三彩海水龙纹六方瓶，主体两边海水龙纹，两边各用八吉祥纹装饰。底有压制的"CHINA"字样，此类款式为1891年后光绪末年到民国初期出口瓷上常用。

A pair of 17th/18th Century style underglaze blue painted vases decorated with flowering branches of prunus blossom. The bases carry the four character reign mark of the Kangxi emperor but these items were made later, probably for export, during the late Qing or early Republic period, circa 1880-1920. Condition: one vase is in excellent condition, with no damages and no repairs or restoration; the other has a 0.7cm under rim chip (please view our 4th picture) and it has a re-glued 10cm section on the shoulder (please view pictures 3, 5 & 6). 29.8cm (11.7inches) high. 清末民初 19/20世纪 康熙款青花梅纹观音瓶一对
一对17/18世纪装饰风格的青花梅纹瓶。底有“康熙年制”青花四字楷书款，但此件稍晚，应为清末民初（1880-1920年间）的外销瓷。
品相：一只瓶子完好，无损伤，无修补或修复；另一只口沿下有一个0.7厘米宽的磕口（请参见图4），瓶肩有一处10厘米宽的部分被重新粘合修补（见图3、图5、图6和图7）。

A late 19th or early 20th Century, possibly Ekoi, carved wood stool made in Cameroon, West Africa. Condition: good - minor losses and wear and an age related crack to the top but no repairs or restoration. 42cm (16.25inches) high; 30cm (11.75inches) diameter.

A painted lacquer panel decorated with carved bone, ivory and "composition" figures depicting a farmer and a boy in a mountain landscape. This item was made in Japan, for export, during the Meiji period (1868-1911) Condition: very good - minor losses to the boy's fishing net and to some of the white paint; no restoration and no further losses. 45.2cm (17.9inches) high; 30cm (11.9inches) wide. A balluster shaped vase and cover painted with "famille rose" enamels depicting a lady holding a fan with two boys in a garden setting. On the base is painted the iron red four character mark of the Qianlong emperor (1736-1795) but this item was made later, in the early 20th Century, during either the closing years of the reign of the Guangxu emperor (1875-1908) or during the Republic period (1911-1949). Condition: there are minor losses to the enamels but no chips or cracks and no repairs or restoration. 25cm (9.9inches) high.

A very rare Lalique glass "le Heure Bleue" Eau de Cologne bottle produced by Guerlain, Paris, circa 1914. Condition: excellent - no damages and with some of its original 'perfume'. 16.5cm (6.5 inches) high.

A blue and white jar with the six character reign mark of the Kangxi emperor (1662-1722) within a double ring to the base. This item was made later, for export, during either the late 19th or early 20th Century. Condition: excellent - no damages and no restoration. 12cm (4.75 inches) high.

A 'bronze' censer (copper zinc alloy with iron impurities) with a six character Ming dynasty Xuande reign mark (1426-1435) to the base but this item was made later, probably during the late Qing dynasty (circa 1890-1910). condition: very good - no damages,losses or repairs. 9cm (3.5 inches)across; 6.3cm (2.5 inches)high. Weight: 260 grams (9 oz).
