A gilt bronze belt hook unusually cast with a bat's head to the centre and with a dragon head terminal. This item was made either during the early Western Han Dynasty or the late Warring States period of the Eastern Zhou Dynasty - circa 3rd to 4th Century BC. For an example dating to the same period please see lot 204 - Bonhams, London 12 May 2008. Condition - very good. No repairs or restoration. 3.2 inches (8cm) long.

A large earthenware wine jar,Hu, with green lead glaze much of which is covered with a silvery iridescence(caused by long burial and exposure to moisture). On the shoulder is a low relief moulded frieze depicting a number of animals and a figure on horseback in what is possibly a hunting scene. On each side are animal masks with rings - in a style similar to contemporary door knockers. This item was made circa 100 BC - 8 AD. Similar examples have been found in late Western Han tombs in Henan and Shaanxi provinces in Central China. Condition - there are chips to the base and there are chips and a number of cracks to the rim - the largest being about 7cm in length. There is wear to the relief decoration and extensive glaze degradation. Height 11 inches (28cm).

A rare, attractively patinated, small bronze figure depicting the Ancient Egyptian cat goddess, Bast. This item was made in Egypt during the Late Dynastic Period (664-332 BC). Condition: much of the surface is oxidized and is degraded in places and there is extensive malachite encrustation. 4cm (1.6 inches) high.

A very rare, finely modelled, bronze figure of the Ancient Egyptian cat goddess, Bast, with later, crudely carved, early 20th Century soft wood stand. This item was made in Egypt during the Late Dynastic Period (664-332 BC). Condition: Very good - there is oxidation loss to the left side between the fore and hind leg; no further losses and no repairs. Height (without stand): 6.6cm (2.6 inches). Height (with stand): 10.8cm (4.25 inches).

A turquoise glazed faience Ushabti figure, of mummiform shape, made in ancient Egypt during the late period, circa 1069 - 332 BC. Provenance: from an old Merseyside collection. Condition: there is age degradation to the surface and the tip of the feet has been chipped off. 9cm (3.5 inches) long.

A small 14th Century green glazed dish decorated inside with a pair of fish - a symbol of marital harmony. This item was made in Longquan county, Zhejiang, during the Yuan Dynasty (1279 to 1368) for the domestic Chinese market. Condition - there is a glaze imperfection to the interior where there is also a 'kiln iron spot' and there has been good restoration to the foot rim. 5.1 inches (13cm) Diameter.

元代 龙泉窑粉青釉印花双鱼盘
一件14世纪粉青釉印花双鱼盘，此类器皿一般为婚庆所用。作于元代龙泉窑。
品相：内部有一处釉面瑕疵，底足经过很好的修复。直径13厘米。

An early Ming dynasty Celadon bowl made in the Longquan kilns, Zhejiang province during the first half of the 15th Century (circa 1400 - 1450 AD). The outide is of moulded lotus petal form, the base is unglazed and there is carved lotus flower decoration to the interior. Condition excellent - no damages and no restoration. 21cm (8.3 inches) diameter; 9cm (3.5 inches) high.

明代龙泉青瓷荷叶纹碗-15世纪
明早期龙泉青瓷碗，15世纪上半叶（约公元1400-1450），碗外部模制成莲花瓣形，内部亦划莲花纹，底部无釉。
品相完美，无损伤也无修复，碗直径21cm，高9cm。

A green glazed "celadon" stoneware vase with flattened pear-shaped body,ring handles and moulded decoration made in the Longquan kilns, Zhejiang province in the 14th Century, during the Yuan dynasty (1279-1368). On each side of the vase are six-lobed cartouches containing the Chinese characters "shou" (longevity) and "fu" (prosperity). Bronze vessels of a similar form have been produced in China since the Yuan dynasty. For a very similar example please see exhibit no. 44 (page26) in the catalogue of the 2009 Oriental Ceramic Society exhibition "The World in Monochromes". Condition - there is extensive cracking around the base area where one section has been re-glued. 19cm (7.5inches) high.

A carved sandstone Khmer relief fragment in (Mahayana Buddhist) Angkor Wat style and mounted on a stand. This item was carved in what is now Cambodia, probably during the reign of King Jayavarman VII (1181–1215 AD). . Condition - very good - the edges are damaged but, although weathered, there are very few surface losses. 60cm long. Please note: we regret that, because this item is very heavy and difficult to post, we will be unable to ship internationally.

A green "Celadon" glazed dish or shallow bowl with flat bracketed rim. The centre is decorated with a moulded peony flower; surrounding this the thick green glaze is incised with stylized lotus scrolls. This item was made in the Longquan kilns, Zhejiang province circa 1400-1500 during the first half of the Ming dynasty. For a very similar example please compare exhibit 16:66, page 489 - "Ming Ceramics in the British Museum", Jessica Harrison Hall. Condition - excellent - there is the usual surface wear to the interior but there are no damages and no restoration. 25cm (9.8 inches) diameter.

明代 龙泉窑青釉印花菱口盘 约1400 - 1500
一件青釉菱口盘或浅口碗。中央印花为牡丹，四周刻有缠枝莲花，为厚重青釉所覆盖。作于浙江龙泉窑，约为明代上半期(1400 - 1500)。类似的器型，请见《大英博物馆明代陶瓷》一书(英文，"Ming Ceramics in the British Museum", Jessica Harrison Hall)第489页第16:66展品。

A rare, finely cast, pear shaped bronze vase coated with copper oxide ("malachite") encrustation. This item was made in Korea in the 12th or 13th Century during the Koryo dynasty (AD 936-1392). Condition: unusually, very good - there is a 2mm hole in the foot (possibly drilled at the time of making for a strengthening rivet)- please view enlargement 7 - and there are a number of shallow scarcely visible bumps, the largest with associated surface abrasion. There are no splits or cracks and there has been no restoration. 32cm (12.5inches) high; 17.5cm (6.8inches) wide Weight: 1.24kg (2lb 12oz).

A rare and unusually large souvenir piece of wood cut from a beam from the painted chamber which was one of the oldest parts of the original Palace of Westminster, destroyed by the Great Fire of 1834. This piece of oak forms the back of a mahogany coin collector's cabinet which was made circa 1835-1850. The writing on this ancient wood panel reads: "The Oak forming this cabinet is part of a Beam removed from under the floor of the Painted Chamber (being part of the wood used in the original building in the reign of Edward the Confessor) and removed after the fire of Thursday October 16th, 1834 by permission of the Honorable Commissioner .. of His Majesty's Woods & Forests by ...." We have not deciphered the name and signature at the bottom and we have not yet identified the wax seal (bottom left). Condition: the panel is split in two vertically and there are very old horizontal cracks visible top left. The panel is 29.2 cm (11.5 inches) high; 24.1cm (9.5 inches) high. The mahogany cabinet is heavy and is 33 cm (13 inches) high; 31.8cm (12.5 inches) wide and 30.5cm (12 inches) deep According to the official parliament website (www.parliament.uk) "In the 13th century King Henry III .. built .. the Painted Chamber as a private apartment on foundations in parallel to the present-day St Stephen's Hall, and it is said that St Edward the Confessor had died in a room which previously occupied the site." "The room was as grand and as colourful as the King (Henry III) and his craftsmen could make it. It was long and narrow, and housed a canopied state bed at one end. "The destruction of the Painted Chamber was perhaps the greatest artistic loss of the fire that ravaged Parliament in 1834. A densely patterned delicately potted early white porcelain dish decorated with two impressed phoenix, poeny flower,lotus and (unusually) with a flying swan to the centre.

This item was made in the Ding kilns, Hebei province, northern China during the Jin Dynasty (AD 1115- 1234).

Condition: excellent - with no damages and no restoration.

A rare gourd shaped bronze (copper tin alloy) vase decorated in archaic style with leiwen (thunder) pattern motifs and a band of stylized waves.

This item was made in China in the 12th to 14th Century during the late Song or Yuan dynasties when ancient Shang and Zhou bronzes were unearthed and collected. This was a time when large numbers of antique inspired bronze vessels were produced. Huge quantities were subsequently exported to japan where many were used domestically as flower containers.

Condition: there are bumps and dents to the lower wave decorated zone.

A rare Early 17th century peach form bronze waterpot (for the scholar's writing table) with three peach-shaped feet, probably made circa 1600 - 1644. There is very old, dark, patination and the remains of the original gold splashed decoration is still visible on the underside. This item is in very good condition with no damages. 2 1/2 inches (6.5cm) High 5.2 inches (13cm) Across.

An "egg and spinach" biscuit-glazed porcelain incense/taper stick holder modelled in the form of a Buddhist guardian lion. These items were made both for the domestic market and for export to Europe circa 1690-1710 during the reign of the Kangxi Emperor. Condition - The upper jaw has been repaired and there has been a very old loss ( possibly during the making) to the top of the incense holder. Height 6.3 inches (16cm).

17/18世纪 素三彩狮形香插 清康熙
一件素三彩狮形香插。当时中国国内和欧洲市场皆可见到，作于清康熙年间，约1690-1710年间。
品相：狮口上颚有修补，香插部分上方有一处旧的缺失（可能为烧造过程中所致）。高16厘米。

A very rare late Ming porcelain dish decorated in underglaze blue with overglaze iron red and green enamels. The base carries the four character mark of the Chenghua emperor but this item was made during the reign of the Tianqi Emperor(1621-1627)probably for export to Japan. Condition extremely fine. No restoration and( apart from the usual rim fritting) no damages and no losses to the overglaze decoration. 6.5 inches(16.5cm) Diameter.
