A rare original pair of clear plastic cased Yellow coloured ankle boots with clear moulded plastic heels, each with an impressed Mary Quant 'Daisy' motif capable of creating a trail of daisy footprints in wet sand. This design was introduced in 1967 and is typical of the innovative use of new materials in the cutting edge British fashions of the 1960s. For a similar pair in this style please view the Metropolitan Museum of Art (New York) and also a pair in this colour in the collection of the Museum of London. We bought these boots in 1976 as part of a large clearance of 1960s clothing from an S&U Stores depot in Wednesbury (outside Birmingham). Condition: Unused, no damages or losses, but displaying some minor signs of aging such as the brown internal mark at the back of the right foot. Size: 5 (UK). A rare pair of Rambervillers Ceramique stoneware vases with characteristic thick metallic lustre glaze and mounted on fitted gilt bronze stands. These items were probably made shorly after the establishment of the Rambervillers pottery, circa 1905-1910, and bear the incised signature of its founder Alphonse Cytere. Condition: excellent - no damages and no repairs or restoration. 26cm (10.25 inches) high.

An "ogee" shaped porcelain bowl decorated with polychrome 'famille rose' enamels depicting two pheasants amongst flowering peony and pomegranate branches and below a band of alternating lotus flowers and the eight Buddhist emblems, the Bajixiang. The seal mark to the base reads "Zhong Hua Min Guo" (Republic of China), dating it to the period 1911-1949. Condition: there are rim frits / chips and there is a light 1cm hairline to the rim ; no further damages and no restoration. 14cm (5.5inches) diameter; 5.9cm (2.3inches) high. A small delicately potted and finely enamelled and gilded Zisha clay stoneware teapot made in Yixing, Zhejiang province, China during the Qing dynasty (1644-1911).
The seal mark to the base reads "hui meng chen zhi" - "made by Hui Meng Chen" (a famous late Ming dynasty Yixing potter). The mark to the base of the cups reads "kang xi nian ji" - "made during the reign of the Kangxi emperor" (1662-1722).
Condition: excellent with no sign of use. There is a small firing crack to the mark on the base of the teapot and there are two very small chips to one of the bowls; no further damages and no restoration.
Teapot: 11cm (4.3inches) long; 6.5cm (2.5inches) high.
Cups: 2.4cm (0.95inches) high; 4.8cm (1.9inches) diameter.

描金点彩红泥小茶壶配四茶碗一套,胎薄小巧,做工精细。茶壶单孔流口。产自浙江宜兴,清代所作。
茶壶底部有“惠孟臣制”字样,茶碗上有圆形双圈“康熙年制“字样。
品相:完好,全新,未使用过。茶壶外底表面有一处裂痕,但不穿透壶壁(即茶壶无漏水问题);其中一只茶碗有两处小磕。无其他损伤或修复。
茶壶长11厘米,高6.5厘米。
茶碗高2.4厘米,直径4.8厘米。

A balluster shaped vase and cover painted with "famille rose" enamels depicting a lady holding a fan with two boys in a garden setting. On the base is painted the iron red four character mark of the Qianlong emperor (1736-1795) but this item was made later, in the early 20th Century, during either the closing years of the reign of the Guangxu emperor (1875-1908) or during the Republic period (1911-1949). Condition: there are minor losses to the enamels but no chips or cracks and no repairs or restoration. 25cm (9.9inches) high.

A baluster shaped vase painted in exceptionally vibrant shades of under glaze cobalt blue depicting stylized peony flowers and flying insects within shaped panels. There is an artemesia leaf mark within a double ring on the base. This item was made in China during the reign of the Kangxi emperor (1662-1722). Condition: there is no cover and there is a Y-shaped hairline on the neck which forks 1cm from the rim and does not extend to the body (please view enlargements 6 & 7); no further damages and no restoration. 23.5cm (9.2 inches) high.

A white porcelain "Blanc-de-Chine" Buddhist Lion incense stick holder in similar style to the larger Guardian Lions which are frequently to be found at the entrances to Buddhist temples. These were probably originally made for domestic home altars and were among the first items to be exported to Europe from China as decorative objects. This item was made in the kilns of Dehua, Fujian Province, South China ,circa 1640-1660, during the middle of the 17th Century. For a very similar example please see catalogue # 90 in "Blanc de Chine - Porcelain from Dehua a catalogue of the Hickley Collection, Singapore" by Rose Kerr & John Ayers. Condition: there are cracks on two sides of the sqare base, one with an old re-glued triangular section; no damages or losses to the lion itself and no restoration. 16.5cm (6.5inches) high.

A pair of skillfully worked, hand finished and finely cast bronze 'balluster' shaped vases decorated around the neck with a band of peony flowers; on the shoulder is a row of lappets containing three-clawed dragons and below them is a band of mythical Qilins amongst stylized clouds. These items were made in China in the 18th or very early 19th Century, probably during the reign of either the Qianlong (1736-1795) or Jiaqing (1796-1820) emperors. For a pair of, slightly smaller, similar vases (with different decoration) please view Lot no.244 in the sale of "Fine Chinese Art", Bonhams, New Bond Street, London, 7 November 2013.

Condition: they have been recently polished and are without their original patina, there is substantial wear to the footrims, and there is a repair (made at the time of production) which is clearly visible in Enlargement 10.

24cm (9.5inches) high; 19cm (7.5inches) wide.

Weight: approx. 3kg (6.5lb) each.

品相:表面经过打磨,所以原来的包浆已不复存在,底部圈足有大量划痕。另有一处铸造过程中进行的修补,在图10中清晰可见。

A European shape porcelain tea caddy painted in underglaze blue depicting houses and pavillions in a river landscape. This item was made in Jingdezhen (southern China) for export to Europe, circa 1760-1780, during the reign of the Qianlong emperor. For a similar example please see John Ayers "The Chinese Porcelain Collection of Marie Vergottis", page 76. Condition: there is an old 3cm hairline on the shoulder and a minute chip to the one corner of the same shoulder (please view enlargements 6 & 7); no further damages and no restoration. 11cm (4.3inches) high; 9cm (3.5inches) wide; 4.5cm (1.75inches) deep.

A rare and finely carved 18th Century Chinese "honey yellow" soapstone Luohan, probably Damo (Bodhidarma). On the back is carved "made by Shang Jun". Condition - very good. This item was originally set with semi-precious stones but, with the exception of one white stone on the collar behind the neck, all are now missing; there are natural "flaws" intrinsic to the stone which pre-date the carving. There have been no repairs and there has been no restoration. 9cm (3.5ins) high. 稀有的18世纪寿山石雕罗汉像 “尚均”款
一件精美稀有的18世纪黄色寿山石雕罗汉像,或为达摩。石雕背面有“尚均作”字样。尚均又名周彬,为清代寿山石雕刻家。
品相:很好。罗汉衣领部分曾多处嵌有宝石,现在仅存有颈后的一粒;作者根据石料的特点因势而雕,石料本身有些许瑕疵,而根据花纹样式可见这些瑕疵在雕刻前就已存在,但无缺损,无修补。高9厘米。
