A rare thinly potted and extremely well painted deep dish with exceptionally fine porcelain body. The base carries the six character reign mark of the Jiajing emperor (1522-1566) enclosed within a double circle but this item was probably made later, in the 16th/17th Century, during the reign of the Wanli emperor (1573-1619). Condition: there is production glaze loss (fritting) to the rim but no cracks or damages and no restoration. 15cm (6 inches) diameter; 3.2cm (1.25inches) high. 894

An archaic style vase with crackle-glaze and simulated metal mounts. On the base is the apocryphal mark of the 15th Century (Ming) Chenghua emperor but this item was made much later , in the 19th Century, probably during the reign of the Tongzhi emperor (1862-1874) when this style was first introduced. Condition - excellent no damage and no restoration. 30cm (11.75 inches) high. A heavy porcelain fish bowl decorated in traditional Chinese taste in 17th Century Transitional style with a continuous panoramic landscape. Above the base is a band of 14th/15th Century style breaking waves: above the landscape is a Ruyi / floral border. Condition: there is a three way star crack to the base - one , which has an associated chip to the footrim, runs down one side of the bowl from top to bottom and a second runs half way up one side (please view enlargements); no further damages and no restoration. 30cm (12inches) high; 36cm (14inches) diameter

清晚期(19世纪) 青花山水人物全景鱼缸(有伤)
一件青花山水人物全景鱼缸，仿照17世纪的装饰风格所做。上面一圈如意云纹，下部一圈海水纹。
品相：底有三条冲缝形成的蟹爪纹，其中一条连接圈足上的一磕口并向上延伸至顶部（见图），另一条冲向上延伸至腹部中央。无其他损伤或修复。

A deep dish or shallow bowl delicately painted with famille rose enamels depicting two historical figures with their titles and accompanying poems and with a peach and bat to the centre. The base carries the reign mark of the Daoguang emperor and this item was possibly made during his reign. Condition - there are chips and cracks to the rim - please view enlargements - would make a good study piece. 16cm (6.25inches) diameter; 3cm (1.2inches) deep.

19世纪约清道光年间粉彩无双谱深口盘（有伤）
19世纪粉彩无双谱深口盘或浅口碗。底有“大请道光年之”矾红六字篆书款，或可能为本朝所做。

A larger than average ovoid jar (without cover) profusely decorated with Famille Rose enamels depicting stylized lotus scrolls enclosing two large panels and two small peach shaped panels. The panels are painted with peony, lotus and other flowers; one panel depicts an egret amongst water plants. This item was made in China in the late 18th or early 19th Century, circa 1790-1820 during the Qianlong or Jiaqing reign. Condition - there is wear and some losses to the enamels but there are no chips, no cracks and there has been no restoration. 26.5cm (10.3inches) high.

A fine,large and very rare eight sided documentary vase (with fitted wood stand) - decorated in Chinese scholar's taste and bearing two poems. The first, small poem on the neck of the vase, describes the under glaze blue painted picture on the reverse side. Roughly translated - "Fisherman looks across riverbank - there are Huang Yang trees. There are three roads leading home and he carries a 'dan' (two baskets with carrying yoke). He is wearing a raincoat and hat and it is raining - he sees a farmer riding a buffalo. Cold brush and ink stone can make good article." The longer poem, inscribed in eight lines and written in sixteen seven character sentences, is the Fisherman's narrative story and can be translated as follows - "He walks through the trees - returning home at noon. Children are laughing outside the door. He is asked why he has finished fishing so early? He watches a bird catch a crab on the edge of a sand bank. He removes his brown clothes and goes to get some fire wood. White clouds are over the ground and the colour matches his shoes. His wife tells him to be careful when carrying the dan. 'Don't go to the high places or dangerous cliffs'. Farming is hard work - busy by day busy by night. He asks how much food (grain) is left in store. Old lady (his wife) smiles and points to the foot of the mountain. The wheat is green and the barley is yellow (they have enough food). The child,with his hair in the shape of a bun, is sleeping on the ground. Light rain (like mist) gives the fields the appearance of being covered with smoke. When he awakes he doesn't see his son - who is studying. He travels long distances through beautiful places - flowing river and falling flower petals - looking for him." This item was made in the Jingdezhen kilns, Jiangxi province south China, probably during the fist half of the 19th Century circa 1800 - 1850. Condition - there are two chips to the rim (one large and one small) and there is one chip to the shoulder There are no cracks and there has been no restoration. Height - 43cm (17 inches).

稀有的19世纪中国青花诗画八棱大花瓶（带座）
一件精美稀有的大型八棱诗画瓶（带底座），具有中国文人的装饰风格，上书两首诗文。瓶颈上 的短诗——“渔家隔岸绿垂杨，三径挑担入卧乡，两笠烟蓑耕野客，砚冰笔冻大文章”——描述了瓶身反面的画境。瓶身的长诗，八行十六句，书为：“柳贯鱼归正 午时，儿童门外笑嘻嘻；问翁何事收竿早，懒看沙头鹘螃持。脱却乌衣去打柴，白云满地衬芒鞋；老妻嘱咐轻挑担，莫踏高岗与险涯。农事纷纷日夜忙，问渠余积几 多粮；阿婆笑指南山下，小麦青青大麦黄。束发孩童枕地眠，朦胧细雨草生烟；醒来不见儿披读，寻到落花流水边”。作于江西景德镇，估为19世纪后半期 1850-1900年间，或为更早。

A finely painted famille rose enamelled deep dish made in China, circa 1730, for export to Europe during the reign of the Yongzheng emperor (1723-1735). Condition - this item has been broken into pieces and repaired (please view enlargements). 22cm (8.7inches) diameter.

A late 18th or early 19th Century Famille Rose enamelled jar made in China, probably for export, during the reign of the Jiaqing emperor. For comparison (of enamels) we have pictured two export Lion Joss Stick Holders (usually dated either late Qianlong or Jiaqing, circa 1800) in our last enlargement. Condition - very good - there are no damages and there has been no restoration. 16cm (6.3inches) high. Weight - 900gms (approx 2lb).

A large porcelain jar with original cover (and fitted wood stand) painted in Kangxi style in underglaze blue with flowering "prunus" branches. This item was made for export in the late 19th or early 20th Century, probably during the reign of the Guangxu emperor (1875-1908). Condition - excellent - no damages and no repairs or restoration. 26.5cm (10.4 inches) high; 35.5cm (14 inches) high with stand.

This item was made in China in the late 19th or early 20th Century, circa 1880-1920, during either the late Qing or the early Republic periods. Condition: excellent - no damages and no restoration. 15cm (6 inches) high.

A small underglaze blue decorated stem dish painted inside with three 17th/18th Centuty style cranes and outside with three bats. The stem is decorated with buddhist knots and stylized plantain leaves. To the inside of the base is the four character mark of the Kangxi emperor (1662-1722) but this item was probably made later, during the 19th Century. Condition - there are two repairs to the rim, each with an associated short hairline. No further damages or restoration. 2.75inches(7cm) high, 4 inches(10cm) diameter.

17/18世纪风格青花高足盘 康熙款
一件小型青花高足盘，内外分别饰有仙鹤和蝙蝠。足部绘有蕉叶纹。圈足内部有“康熙年制”四字款，但为19世纪所做。
品相：口沿有两处修补及两处短冲缝。无其他损伤或修复。高7厘米，直径10厘米。

A very finely potted and finely painted blue and white vase depicting three five-clawed dragons, amongst cloud scrolls, in pursuit of flaming pearls and above stylized breaking waves. The base carries the six character seal mark of the Qianlong emperor (1736-1795) but, after three years deliberation, we have come to the conclusion that this item was probably made later, circa 1880-1920, during the late Qing or early Republic periods. Provenance - purchased by ourselves in January 2009 as part of the estate of a family with banking connections who were in Shanghai in the 1920s and 1930s. Condition - the base is drilled through the reign mark - otherwise excellent condition with no further damage and no restoration. Please note: when we acquired this vase it was enclosed within a 1920s or 1930s electric light fitting which was removed by ourselves with great difficulty (please view enlargements). 33.5cm (13.25 inches) high. Weight - 1.125kg (2lb 7.75oz).

精致的乾隆款青花云龙纹观音瓶 或应稍晚
一件精致的乾隆款青花云龙纹观音瓶。底有“大清乾隆年制”六字篆书款，但估为后世1880-1920年间清末民初时期所做。
来源：2009年1月，我们从一个英国家族手中购得一些旧藏，此为其中一件。此家族上世纪二三十年代曾在上海从事银行业。
品相：底部款识部分有钻孔，除此之外品相完好，无损伤，无修复。

A small jar decorated in early 18th Century Kangxi style with Famille Verte / Wucai enamels depicting a legendary battle scene possibly from from the historical epic novel "San Guo Zhi Yan Yi" (Romance of the Three Kingdoms) attributed to the 14th Century novelist Luo Guanzhong. This item was made for export during the late 19th/early 20th Century, probably during the reign of the Guangxu emperor (1875-1908). Condition - very good - no damages and no restoration. 12cm (4.7ins) high.

This item was made in the late 19th Century for export, possibly during the reign of the Tongzhi emperor (1862-1874) when this style was first introduced. A rare mirror black "famille noire" enamelled jar and cover depicting two birds perched on a branch of iron red flowering prunus blossom over green enamelled rockwork. This item is decorated in late Kangxi style (circa 1700-1720) but it was made later, during the reign of the Guangxu emperor (1875-1908). Condition - there is a hairline crack to the cover (please view enlargement 9); the jar itself is in excellent condition with no damages and no restoration. 14.5cm (5.75inches) high.

清光绪 稀有的19世纪康熙风格黑地粉彩莲子罐（带盖）
一件稀有的黑地粉彩莲子罐及盖，绘有花鸟山石。采用清康熙晚期的装饰风格，但作于清光绪年间。
