An elaborate finely moulded "Blanc de Chine" figure group with elaborate applied decoration. This item was made in the Dehua kilns, Fujian province, south China circa 1890-1910. Condition - there has been a clean break to the back of the hand holding the staff on the male figure (see enlargement no. 5) and what appears to be an underglaze firing crack to the hand of the lady (enlargement no. 7) - otherwise excellent, no chips and no restoration. 9.5 inches (24cm) high.

19/20世纪 德化窑白瓷人像
一件精美的模制德化白瓷人物，约作于1890-1910年间。
品相：站立人像一手有损伤（见图5），吹笛人物一手有窑裂（见图7）。除此之外完好，无口磕，无修复。高24厘米。

A dated gilded pink porcelain teapot, made very early in the Republic period, well decorated in Chinese Scholar's taste with peony flowers and poem. The cover reads Yi Pian Bing Xin - literally "Heart like Crystal" meaning "Pure and Noble Character". The top carries the characters for "Luck and Wealth". The poem reads "Guo Se Tian Xiang" - "National Beauty (meaning incomparable beauty) Heavenly Fragrance" and is dated "Second Month of the Year 1914 in a house on Zhu Shan Mountain" and signed "Drawn by Sheng He Shun". The base mark reads "Jing Zhen" (Jingdezhen) "Sheng He Shun Zao" - made by Sheng He Shun. Condition - Excellent - no damages and no restoration. 10cm (4inches) high; 15cm (6inches) long.

民国初 粉底描金茶壶 生和顺署名
一件粉地描金茶壶，作于民国初年，上有牡丹和诗句。壶盖上有“一片冰心”字样。壶肩有“吉祥”字样。壶身有诗句“国色天香——时甲寅年仲月于珠山客次生和顺绘“。底有“景镇生和顺造“。

A large porcelain jar with original cover (and fitted wood stand) painted in Kangxi style in underglaze blue with flowering "prunus" branches. This item was made for export in the late 19th or early 20th Century, probably during the reign of the Guangxu emperor (1875-1908). Condition - excellent - no damages and no repairs or restoration. 26.5cm (10.4 inches) high; 35.5cm (14 inches) high with stand.

清末 康熙风格青花梅纹盖罐 带底座

A large and heavy porcelain vase with thick Sang-de-boeuf ('Ox-blood') glaze. On the base is incised the six character reign mark of the Guangxu emperor (1875-1908). We have been unable to decide whether this item was made during his reign (in the late Qing dynasty) or later during the Republic period (1912-1949. Condition: excellent - no damages and no restoration. 44cm (17.3inches) high; weight 5kg (11 lbs).

A small pair of finely potted U-shaped Chinese porcelain wine cups painted to the exterior in underglaze blue with stylized scrolls of flowering lotus above a band of Ruyi heads over a narrow foot. Above the lotus flower heads are eight Tibetan style Buddhist Lanca (Lantsa) characters. On each base of each, painted in under glaze blue within a double square, is the six character reign mark of the Ming dynasty Chenghua emperor (1465-1487) but these cups were made later, possibly in the early 20th Century during the Republic period (1911-1949). For a pair of Yongzheng Imperial wine cups with very similar under glaze blue decoration but bearing additional over glaze polychrome Doucai enamels please see Lot 203, Sotheby's Hong Kong, April 25, 2004. Condition: excellent - no damages and no restoration. 5cm (2 inches) high; 5.8cm (2.3 inches) diameter.

A finely engraved Paktong (nickel silver) belt, possibly made by Straits Chinese craftsmen circa 1880 - 1920. Condition - excellent. 76cm (30 inches)long.

A rare, attractively enamelled, figure of the Bodhisattva and Japanese "Goddess of Mercy", Kannon.. Unusually, she is seated on a large boulder inhabited by a writhing white glazed dragon. This item was made in Japan in the Meiji period, during the 19th or early 20th Century Condition: two very minor losses - a chip to one of the dragon's horns and a small chip to the bottom of the dragon's tail. 24 cm / 9.5 inches high. A finely moulded biscuit glazed Wang Binrong style porcelain vase decorated with the eight buddhist emblems and two Qianlong style dragons. The base has a moulded CHINA mark indicating that this item was made post 1891 for export during either the late Guangxu or early Republic period (circa 1895-1920). Condition - excellent - no damages and no restoration. 21cm (8.25 inches) high.

A carved circular apple green jadeite pendant depicting a phoenix in a stylized garden landscape. This item was made in China possibly during the 19th Century. Condition - very good. 5.5cm (2.2 inches) diameter.

A Cloisonne Enamel vase depicting two Manchurian Cranes, made in Japan for export during the Meiji period (1868-1911). Condition - there is an under rim chip and one to the body (please view enlargements 8 & 9); there are very minor losses to the enamel and there are stress cracks. There have been no repairs or restoration. 18cm (7inches) high.

一件日本明治时期的七宝焼仙鹤延年瓶。

A large, and heavy, Stick Stand, ( for holding walking sticks and umbrellas), profusely decorated, in Satsuma style, with a panapoly of historical scenes enclosed within elaborately enamelled textile (?) patterns and surmounted by a large coiled dragon amongst stylized clouds. This item was made in Japan for export to Europe or America during the late 19th or early 20th Century. Condition: there are chips to the rim, some cracks around the base and losses to the head and claws of the dragon. 39cm (15.3 inches) high Weight: approx 9 kg (19lb 12oz).

A Chinese Porcelain Jar and Cover profusely decorated with "Famille Rose" (Falangxi) enamels. This item was made in China in the late 19th or early 20th Century, circa 1880-1920, during either the late Qing or the early Republic periods. Condition: excellent - no damages and no restoration. 15cm (6 inches) high.

A small thinly potted wine or tea cup delicately painted in shades of underglaze blue with traditional Chinese landscape scenes. The cup is bound with a metal (copper) rim, apparently made to cover a burst glaze bubble. On the base is a four character shop mark which reads "Shun Li Kun Ji". The makers mark was in use during the late Qing / early Republic period so we assume that this item was made during the late 19th or early 20th Century. Condition - very good - no damages and no restoration. 5cm (2inches) high; 6.5cm (2.5inches) diameter.

清末民初 19/20世纪青花庭院人物酒杯
一件清华庭院人物酒杯，胎体轻薄。口沿有一圈金属圈镶边，应是为遮掩口沿的一处爆釉。底有青花四字款“顺利坤记”，此款为清末民初的厂店款，所以我们认为此件应为19世纪末20世纪初所做。
品相：很好。无损伤，无修复。高5厘米，直径6.5厘米。

A well carved yellow ground jar, with cover, depicting two confronting dragons amongst clouds and flames above breaking waves. The base carries the seal mark - Wang Bing Rong - and was probably made, circa 1910-1920, during the early Republic period. Condition - excellent - no damages and no restoration. 19cm (8.5 inches) high.

A painted lacquer panel decorated with carved bone, ivory and "composition" figures depicting a farmer and a boy in a mountain landscape. This item was made in Japan, for export, during the Meiji period (1868-1911) Condition: very good - minor losses to the boy's fishing net and to some of the white paint; no restoration and no further losses. 45.2cm (17.9inches) high; 30cm (11.9inches) wide. A carved blown moulded glass snuff bottle painted on the inside with a mountain landscape and on the other side a garden scene with potted plants, lingzhi fungi and a weather sculpted rock. This item was made in China during the late 19th or early 20th Century. Condition: there is no stopper and there are flaws inside the clear glass neck which were possibly caused during the making of the aperture. 6.1cm (2.3 inches) high.
