This is a rare and large Chinese export silver centerpiece - a trophy or champion cup. It belongs to the early 19th century Chinese silverwork, which is harder to find comparing to the silver pieces from the late 19th century or early 20th century. This silver centerpiece has elaborate designs hammered out by early master Chinese craftsmen. The repousse work on the neck depicts numerous cranes and birds playing aound the bamboo, and two hunters are strolling around to find the targets. The middle body hammered with figural courtyard scenes, and people's social life. The base has repousse work of two dragons chasing a flaming ball. Stamped 'GW' and Chinese Characters of maker's shop name 'žÄá¢'. Has punched 'Sterling Silver' mark on the base edge. It has 12 inches or 30.5 cm tall. Weight: 49.7 oz or 1410 g. It is at very good condition with no damage. Good patina.
