Intricately painted and potted Japanese Satsuma bell-shaped water dropper with a rich amount of gold painting. The painting is exquisitely fine and detailed.

Inset medallions with ornate garden scenes alternate with panels of floral and room arrangements. These insets are surrounded by sumptuous floral scrollings and brocade designs. The painting is very fine and precise. The base glaze has a very fine pale beige crackle. Over this has been painted over glaze enamels and gilding. The glaze colors are very rich, and with the addition of the gold they also take on a rich glow. The edge of the base is scalloped.

The foot ring is unglazed and very smooth. The base is glazed and there is a mark on the bottom.
