A deep blue vase with a contrasting bright white glaze that is hand thrown and has a classic look.

Hand thrown porcelain Chinese vase that has a flaring round mouth to the trumpet neck which ends in a rounded broad shoulder then tapering to a round foot. The glaze on the body is a deep cobalt blue with the white of the porcelain showing on the interior. The cobalt blue glaze is thick, shiny and smooth with a few small dimples. The white glaze of the body has a slight blueish cast. The vase has a nice weight to it.

The foot is rounded and unglazed. The clay is fairly white with the potters ring marks. It has wear to it. The base is glazed. There is a Yongzheng reign mark on the base in cobalt blue.

We believe the mark is apocryphal and was produced during the Republic Period early 20th Century.

13” (33.0 cm) tall x 7” (17.8 cm) diameter. Weighs 4 lb 15 oz (2.24 kg)

There are no cracks, chips, or breaks. There are few wear scratches on the vase exterior. They are small and only noticeable when held to a light. This irregular wear shows age.

A rich looking vase that will add substance and beauty to your home.
